It is rich in minerals and vitamins and low in salt. Additionally, its high calcium/phosphorus content helps to prevent osteoporosis.

A 30g portion of Comté contains 15% of the recommended daily allowance of protein for an adult.

Comté cheese is sold with a green or a brown band - the labeling is fixed on the shipping date according to its quality control test in terms of taste, consistency, cut, crust and appearance.
